God loves all peoples of the world (John 3:16), and West End cares about the world! Our concern is demonstrated through praying for, giving to, and ministering to needs locally, nationally, and internationally…

Local:

  • Multi-housing Ministry—Shares the love of Jesus in low-income apartment complexes through helping children with their homework, leading children in fun Bible learning activities, teaching adult Bible studies and leading worship services, feeding the hungry and meeting other physical needs, and providing transportation to West End services/events.
  • Prison Ministry—Provides local inmates with an opportunity to know Christ and experience life change through Bible study, Sunday services, fellowship events, and more.
  • Women On Mission (W.M.U.)—Helps our church: learn about what God is doing in the world, organize to pray for the needs of our missionaries, and coordinate how we can get involved in local ministry projects to change lives.
  • Project Hope—Supports a local organization that seeks to meet the needs of the disadvantaged in Rock Hill.
  • Janie Chapman State Missions Offering—Contributes with other South Carolina Baptist Churches to spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ throughout our State.

National:

  • Disaster Relief Ministry—Sends teams of volunteers to rebuild churches and homes destroyed by national disasters like Hurricane Katrina.
  • Youth Mission Trips—Teaches our teens the importance of serving others in areas such as inner-city Chicago and Native American reservations in South Dakota.
  • Annie Armstrong North American Missions Offering—Supports more than 5,300 Southern Baptist missionaries as they spread the Gospel throughout our land.

International:

  • Turkey Mission Trips—Distribute evangelistic literature in the eastern half of this nation of 66 million, where there are only three evangelical churches, and most have never seen a New Testament.
  • Operation Christmas Child—Cooperates with Samaritan’s Purse to send gift-filled shoeboxes and the Good News of God’s love to children in desperate situations around the world.
  • Lottie Moon International Missions Offering—Supports more than 5,000 Southern Baptist missionaries as they spread the Gospel around the globe.

In addition to giving to the above offerings, West End contributes substantially to the Southern Baptist Cooperative Program, which allows us to participate in the largest missionary organization in the world! A percentage of each week’s offerings is sent to support over 10,000 missionaries in 134 countries around the globe.
