Scott Carroll - Minister of Youth and College

scott-lg Scott is a native of Rock Hill, South Carolina where he taught band in the Rock Hill School District for 15 years before moving into student ministry full time at First Baptist Church of Rock Hill. Prior to returning to Rock Hill to serve as Director of "The Connection" and the Student/College Pastor, Scott served as the Director of the Youth Department of the South Carolina Baptist Convention and on the staff of Myrtle Beach Community Church. Scott has been actively involved in student ministry for over 25 years.

Scott holds a music degree from Furman University and has done postgraduate work at Winthrop University, The University of South Carolina, (Darla Moore School of Business) and Trinity Seminary. Scott is a crisis response specialist and crisis responder with the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, (ICISF). Scott is married to his high school sweetheart, Cindy, and they have three children and one and 3/4 grandchildren.

Scott enjoys backpacking with his family, motorcycle touring on his Harley with his wife and being "papa" to his grandchildren.
