Grief1What is it all about?

It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you've lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, you've probably found that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel.

That's the reason for Grief Support, a special seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. This group is sponsored by people who want to comfort and encourage you during this difficult time.

The Grief Support session begins with fellowship and a light meal. Each session begins with prayer. Each week we view a video that features top experts on grief and recovery subjects. These videos also include on-location interviews and the real life stories of people who have experienced losses like yours. Through videos and discussions, our goal is to help you work through the grief process and avoid or minimize the pitfalls and roadblocks that our fast-paced society throws in front of us. We strive to provide a loving, secure environment that will encourage this process.

Grief support is a non-denominational group and features biblical teaching on grief and recovery topics. We now meet two Thursdays each month at 6:30 PM in the Main Campus Education Building Room 100. Please call the Church Office at 803-327-2811 to confirm our next meeting time. We encourage members and non-members to join the group. If you or someone you know has lost a loved one because of death, invite them to attend.
