West End Baptist Church

West End Baptist Church offers many opportunities for fellowship and worship to our senior citizens. The Golden Eagles program offers Bible studies, group trips and other special events. West End has a special respect for the Seniors, who are truly an inspiration to us all, as we see Christ exemplified in their lives.

On the first Tuesday of each month at 10:30 a.m., our Seniors join together to enjoy inspiring music, an inspiration speaker and a fabulous lunch (next meeting in February 2008). Please note that there are also other events scheduled each month.

The Senior Adult Ministry here at West End Baptist Church is made up of different individuals who come together to minister to one another. We desire to serve Jesus Christ by ministering the spiritual, physical and social needs of one another. You will find an array of opportunities to be involved in the body of Jesus Christ here at West End.

Listed below are a few ways you can make an impact with the Golden Eagles Ministry:

• Helping Hands - Perform simple jobs or task for Senior Adults who have no one else to perform these tasks.
• Homebound Team - Provides programs for nursing homes, visiting shut-ins and other assistance.
• Telephone Ministry - Makes calls on a regular basis to those who live alone.
• Personal Enrichment - Provides opportunities to attend conferences and special programs
• Travel - Provides opportunities for Seniors to take day or overnight trips
• Music - Helps provide music for meetings and other special events.
